DKPUSBABEL, PANGKALPINANG – Approaching in the end of February 2021, the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI) collaborates with the Archive and Library Agency (DKPUS) of the Province of Bangka Belitung (Babel) socializes Printed and Recorded Works (KCKR) Submit-Store Act Number 13 of 2018 in Babel.
This activity held at Swiss bell Hotel, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Pangkalpinang on Thursday (25/2/2021). This event was opened by the Head of DKPUS Babel, Asyraf Suryadin and attending by 60 participants from various agencies from printed and recorded field.
Deputy for Information Services and Development of the National Library of Indonesia which was represented by Subeti Makdriani, the Main Librarian of the National Library explained that this socialization was specifically intended for publishers, recording producers and universities in Babel.
Subeti added, this socialization is about Act No.13 of 2018 which replaces Act No.4 of 1990 to adjust the information and communication technological development.
Subeti continues, the implementation of this law to accommodate various publications in form of digital or electronic appear in this era. In other word, this law appears to control the publication of printed and recorded work.
"I am grateful that both digital and electronic works are now explicitly stated in act Number 13 of 2018 as works that need to be submitted to the National Library and Provincial Library to be stored, preserved and utilized," said Subeti Makdriani.
According to him, this act is a booster and a trigger for the National Library to be better and committed in carrying out each process well.
Subeti saids, at this moment, there are 26 publishers in Babel who had implemented this act actively. It was about 72 titles and 133 copies.
Meanwhile, the Head of DKPUS Babel, Asyraf Suryadin, said that related to collecting works activity, DKPUS Babel had carried out it to a number of Local apparatus organization and universities in Babel.
Asyraf hoped that offices/agencies that publish books will submit their work to DKPUS Babel.
"Submitting your work to DKPUS will become a confrontation, not just as a document" said Asyraf.
In this activity, the National Library is also introduced e-Deposit, an application for collecting, processing, utilizing recording power and regional regulations related to Libraries.
